Owner Education Walks
Monday - Friday
I often come across dog owners on my walks who say they would love to join me for a group walk to see group dynamics themselves. Or they have a number of questions about their own dog's socialisation with other dogs. I offer a service where you can join me on a walk and see for yourself how your dog socialises with others. Many owners have great relationships with their canine friends but often there is just one thing that 'bugs' them about their best buddy - may be some time spent with me in a group walk situation can help? I will do my best to answer your questions and help you develop your relationship further.
I have an older Lab-X who I rescued just under two years ago, at the age of eleven. She has never been socialised and struggles around other dogs. She is fearful when other dogs approach and will growl and show her teeth; she's not aggressive, she just doesn't want them near her because she's afraid. Ali assured me that she could help with this and that Meg would be fine going out in a group walk. I have to confess to being a bit sceptical but as I have come to know Ali more and seen first-hand how she is with Meg indoors I agreed to let her go. Ali transformed my scared little girl's life. She is the happiest she's ever been, her confidence around other dogs we meet on walks now is brilliant. I've since been out on a couple of 'educational' walks. I love to watch Meg trotting along with all the other dogs with her tail up all happy and most importantly, no longer scared. It really is an 'education' and I would strongly recommend going along on one !!!
